How Important Is It to Find Love?
For some, there is nothing as important as finding love, but it should be low on your priority list compared to meeting new people within whom you could possibly develop a relationship at a later date. Love is not something you can time nor something that you can feel on command, so why seek it? Love is something that will come when you lease expect it, just like the set of keys you can’t find until you stop looking for them. Things you seek do not present themselves until you stop looking, so don’t try to find love—when the time is right it will find you.
If love is not important, what is? Shouldn’t love be a part of our lives, something that makes us happy? Love is important, but it should not consume us and overtake every part of our life. It is not something we should concentrate on finding, but rather something that comes to us when the time is right. Instead, we should concentrate on meeting good people who may possibly fit our requirements for a love interest. Even there, we should not concentrate on finding love but on finding someone with whom we have things in common and with whom we can share a part of our life. That may be something as small as a love of pets or children, or the fact that you are both emerging from a failed relationship or marriage.
Even if you have been alone for five years, the worst thing you can do is push yourself to enter into another relationship. When you are too anxious, you are likely to find someone who doesn’t appear to want the same thing you do but could if given the time to take it slowly. Once you decide to slow down and let things happen at their own pace, you will have much better luck with love.
